I'm here with a new tips and tricks and here i will show you how to apply some tricks in Command Line Prompt and that will help you to easily work with that and it will useful to you.

5 Most useful CMD Tips & Tricks


1. Open Installed Programs using cmd.

In the cmd, we can start or open any program by easily typing the start keyword. By Using, the start keyword we can open the any program installed in our system.
And also You can access the websites from the cmd. like Amazon,Facebook,YouTube,etc...

For example:

   1.1 Open a Notepad from the cmd.

  1.2 Open a Chrome from the cmd.

2. Customize the Command Prompt Title Bar Text using cmd.

In the cmd, we can set the Custom Title Bar Text for the current cmd prompt that looks an interactive and it is very simple to apply.The keyword title is used to set the cmd title bar text. Before applying the custom text to its Title Bar it will looks like this:

After applying the Custom text it will looks like good and we can set any text to its Title Bar.

For example:

3. Drag and Drop For Easy Path Name Entry using cmd.

In the cmd, Most of the cmd requires the full path for the accessing the data or any documents from the system. But,in this if you can miss any of the character then you have to start over for accessing the data.
it is very irritating to do so you can easily drag the document in the cmd and the full path or the location will be automatically put. Manually this procedure is very time consuming and no one want to type manually like very long path.

For example:

4. Automatic Complete Command using cmd.

In the cmd, Tab keyword is very useful by using the Tab keyword your work will be done easily and it will save your time.
By Using the Tab keyword If your command has a file or folder name in that you are not sure it will automatically complete the commands and saves your time.
To use the Tab key you have to enter the remember character and press the Tab key and it will start the cycle and search in the possible availability.

5. Check cmd prompt version using cmd.

In the cmd,If you want to check your cmd prompt version so You can easily see it by using the command which is given and there is a two way to check.

1. ver
2. prompt $v
For example:

   5.1 ver command for version check.
